Women Paints Portrait Of Donald Trump With Menstrual Blood
Donald Trump has garnered plenty of controversy in the past few weeks in his attempt to gain the Republican nomination for president. This has caused plenty of people to come out and criticize the billionaire for what they consider his offensive remarks and outdated policies. One woman, though, has taken an unusual step by making her protest in the form of a portrait of Trump painted with menstrual blood.
Artist Sarah Levy choose to create the portrait using her own period blood after comments made by Trump about Megyn Kelly. The remarks were made after Kelly had moderated a debate between the businessman and other Republican nominees and drew criticism across the country.
“I heard the comments he made to Megyn Kelly and I was outraged that he was basically using women’s periods not just to avoid a political question but also to insult her and all women’s intelligence,” said Levy.
Levy also explained how easy it was to create the artwork despite the fact that she had used a strange medium to paint with. “I could basically use it like watercolors with a paintbrush,” she said. “I definitely recommend painting with your menstrual blood.” In fact, the process is so easy that she is planning to create more paintings with blood in the future, including others vying to be the Republican nominee.
