WHILE SHE SLEEPS’ latest single is ‘THE GUILTY PARTY’, a genre-morphing acclamation, fueled by riffs, electronics, visceral vocals, the purest of melodies and the ultimate gang vocals in collaboration with an actual choir. Choral elements and rich harmonies feature all over the Sheffield band’s forthcoming album ‘SO WHAT?’ So much so, that Sleeps have enlisted a live choir for a very special performance.“We’ve always loved the feeling you get when a large group of people sing together, whether that’s at a show, for us just in the studio or whatever, however it may be. Kinda the same feeling you get at a football game when everyone sings together.” says guitarist and vocalist Mat Welsh. Continuing, guitarist Sean Long explains “The energy completely shifts when everyone is together in unison doing that kinda thing. So we thought wouldn’t it be great if we could introduce the choir which we use on the record… live? And we are going to do that. At The Roundhouse.” While She Sleeps will headline The Roundhouse on the final date of their European & UK headline tour, the same day the album is released, 1st March. ‘SO WHAT?’ will be released under their own Sleeps Brothers label in partnership with Spinefarm Records. While She Sleeps released ‘ANTI-SOCIAL’, the first single from ‘SO WHAT?’, last year, as well as the more recently unveiled offering ‘HAUNT ME’. Both of these compositions were accompanied by stunning visual companions, crafted by the band themselves. The band are currently on their ever-evolving mission to reach every corner of the globe, having just wrapped up a tour of Asia and with their UK & European headline dates imminent. Support on the tour will come from Stray From The Path, Trash Boat & Landmvrks. Further European and US dates will follow over spring and summer and so far include a slot at 2000trees in the UK, Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park in Germany, as well as a tour supporting Architects and several festivals in the US.
