The Corby crew, Raging Speedhorn, are now well into their comeback and this latest tour sees them after completing a successful Pledge campaign and ahead of the recording of the subsequent album.

Getting to the venue in time for Ten Foot Wizard, and once again they have improved on recent performances as they have every time I have seen them play. They always go down well, regardless of who they are sharing a bill with, something that a lot of bands struggle with. Their energy and delivery onstage ensures everyone has a great time and they quickly get new fans onside with a brilliant sense of humour, which make their sets thoroughly entertaining. A great band for the future.

Its cool to see a packed venue for Speedhorn, the last 12 months has seen their comeback build and build, resulting in the aforementioned PledgeMusic campaign and a storming headline set at this years Riff Fest in Bolton at the end of the summer. A new song is added to the set, in the shape of ‘Dog Shit Blues’ which appears alongside recent single ‘Halfway To Hell’ packed amongst a set full of old favourites. The newest addition is faster and heavier than the previous track and bodes well for the upcoming album. Also added is the much missed ‘Redweed’ from their debut album, making for a longer set as the band seem more pumped and tighter than they have in previous shows. This energy is thrown right back by the crowd, with more pits opening up as the show progresses. This settled line up now seems ready to go into the studio and could easily come out with one 2016’s best albums.

Everything that made them great first time round is there, with the dual vocals as visceral and threatening as ever. Watch this band over the next 12 months, something pretty special could be coming.
