Female fronted Welsh metal band Triaxis have been causing ripples in the world of heavy metal since forming in 2006 and after a successful and memorable performance on the Jägermeister Stage at this year’s Bloodstock Festival, have made it clear they aren’t leaving us any time soon.
Heavily influenced by the likes of Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, Triaxis are a true British metal band currently going from strength to strength. Following a recent signing to independent record label Rocksector Records, the beautiful and talented rhythm guitarist CJ being endorsed by Engl Amps, the band returned to play Bloodstock for a second year, there really is no stopping these guys.
Forming most of their set around tracks from their new album “Rage & Retribution”, due for release in October. The band delivered an acoustic set containing the perfect mix of chilled out performances and catchy tunes which had the sleepy crowd awake within minutes and clapping along in support. Finishing with the ridiculously catchy anthem ‘Lies,’ from their self released first album “Key to the Kingdom”, the early afternoon crowd were instantly fist pumping and singing along, showing that already this band have a dedicated following, and rightly so.
What is clear about this band from the start is their passion for what they do. You can see Triaxis love every second of being on stage and the mix of the pitch perfect vocals, ear splitting riffs and powerful drumming, they are a force to be reckoned with. Vocalist Krissie has a quality to her voice which raises the hairs on the back of your neck and this heavy metal queen has the power, drive and talent to take the band to unthinkable heights. Watch this space, these guys are going to be big!.
